Lost – Adventures in Neverland

Hiya all,

Wow, this must be my longest post yet!

So you may have noticed that this post is on 4 different blogs, and there is a simple explanation for this: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT.

But before I share that news, I have a few things to tell you first, some which you may already know, but hey, I’m writing for four blogs here, so just bear with me.

For starters, I am glad to say that Raindrop’s Reveries has been re-opened! Though, you would already know this if you’re reading this post on Raindrops Blog (as I am now a guest author on it – which you would also know if you are reading this on Raindrop’s Blog 😛 🙂 )

Next, Marigold’s Sweet Week is officially started!

At the beginning of the year, she started doing the events that PH used to do, such as Art Month, and now Sweet Week! 😀 Seeing as she can’t hold the EXACT event activities that PH did, she and the PH Event Committee – another thing I’m involved in – have been improvising, and we’ve come up with some great ideas for the events. For more information, click here to see the official post.

Another thing I’d like to mention is that I am looking for Guest Authors on my WordPress Blog – also called ‘Pixie Hollow – Our Biggest Secret’. I made this blog when I had a link problem with my original blog, but then I found that the link problem had been fixed, so my WordPress account just lay dormant for a while, until a few days, when I decided to post a few things:

But of course, some of you would already know this (especially if you are reading this on my WordPress Blog 😛 ).

Ok, so now I have gotten all that stuff done, here is the REALLY IMPORTANT NEWS.
You know how a while ago I said I was writing a short story that was going to be released on Halloween, and how I ran out of time, saying that I would finish it and post it ASAP? (If you are reading this on my main blog you would know this, if you have no idea what I’m going on about, click here for the link to the post).
Well, I still haven’t finished it (so much for ASAP O_O), but there is a very good reason for that.

The main reason is that I just haven’t have the time. But the other reason is that the other day, I had such a good idea for it, my head exploded!

Ok, so maybe my head didn’t actually explode, but it was still a pretty good idea (well, at least it is in my opinion).

So, I kept reading all these stories that other pixies had posted on blogs, and kept getting more and more ideas. Then, as I was posting a comment on a blog for a post sharing a story preview, BAM! I had a rush of ideas, waaay to many for a short story.

So, I am now going to turn my short story into a series of stories called ‘Lost – Adventures in Neverland’. Here is what I’ve written so far…

LOST – ADVENTURES IN NEVERLAND

PART ONE

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY, I, ROSE MORNINGMIST, WILL ADMIT I WAS SCARED.

Even during my PEF missions, when I was scared, I felt more of a thrill or excitement rather than fear.

But now, that had changed. For the second time in my life, I had truly failed. Firstly in keeping both of my siblings safe and happy, and now in saving our home. In just a few hours, the entire pixie population would have to leave Pixie Hollow forever, it felt as if it was my entire fault. My entire fault, that I had spent time enjoying the luxury of having unlimited Pixie Diamonds, and shopping, re-decorating, buying sweets, when I could of been campaigning for more signatures to save PH.

Deep down, I knew it wasn’t entirely my fault. But it sure felt like it. My life had been dedicated to keeping PH safe. Now, it was going to disappear forever.

I looked around my bedroom, which was littered with new furniture. For a split second, I had the odd desire to change it back to the PEF HQ, and hold one last meeting with everyone. But all the members had already left, deserting PH to find refuge in NeverLand. I stared out my window, across the lake to Dewdrop Vale, now thinking of my friends that I was sure I would never see again. Izzy, tinker talent, always happy and full of ideas. Lily, water talent, quiet, but caring, always ready to help those in need. Savannah, animal talent, talkative, discoverer of the Green Truffles, which could have stopped Jack’s evil without destroying him. She would never find out that she was to be appointed Head Researcher, perhaps have an assistant, and spend her days helping us all with new knowledge and theories. Fauna SunShine, animal talent, although now half pixie vampire and a lot more serious, was always ready to go and had found a way to stop Jack temporarily with her new powers. Water talent, Co – Founder of the PEF, helpful, bubbly, always ready for action. Autumn Windy Song, animal talent, who had left so long ago. Autumn, with her long, curly blonde hair. Autumn, who had been second in command and Head of Spells and Magic, though had never known it. Autumn, oblivious to the fact that the small Spy Agency she and her friends had started so long ago had progressed into the PEF, something so much bigger. Autumn, who if to ever try and return to PH, would find nothing.

No. I mustn’t think about that. They’re safe, and that’s all that matters. Now I just had to find Rachel CitrusStream and Ruby, two friends of mine, as we were to cross into NeverLand together, and help the other pixie’s find a new home. It would be our new mission, except this time the PEF wouldn’t be saving Pixie Hollow – we would be fleeing from it. I sighed, standing up and moving away from the window. There was no use staying here. Everyone else would be at Havendish Square, getting ready to leave PH, not to change the seasons, but for good. I walked down the stairs and woke my pet butterfly, Sky. Seeing her provoked even more sadness. Two of my other friends, Sky and Silver, had left the day before. They had given me the idea for the name Pixie Elite Force. I forced these thoughts to the back of my mind. “Come on Sky, hop up. Let’s go for one last look at the place, yes?” I said. Sky got up, stretched, and got off her bed to fly behind me. I stared around at my home, knowing that this was the last time I would ever see it. Then, not being able to bear another moment, went outside, and shut the door.

Once outside, I flew through the garden slowly, so that I could take my last look at it too. Dark storm clouds had started to gather on the outskirts of PH – I could see them over Neverberry Thicket and Palm Tree Cove from where I was standing. I stared at my house one last time, and then took flight.

It must have been my slowest flight around PH ever. I want to remember every last place in every detail, though truthfully, I didn’t see much of it through the tears that were constantly streaking down my face, feeling ice cold in the wind the storm was bringing. I only caught glimpses of my home – The Ocean’s edge at Palm Tree Cove; the white covered grassland of Cotton Puff Field, the ice-skating rink in Snow Cap Glade, and finally, the tulips in Dewdrop Vale once more. I landed next to the stream, feeling quite sad and depressed. This had been the first place I had ever taken flight in PH. That had been almost 5 years ago, I thought, as I brushed the tears out of my eyes. Now, here I was, years later, staring at the place I had first called home as the sound of rain falling not far from where I was standing filled my ears. I probably would have stood there all day, except I was interrupted by a scream. Instantly, I whirled round instinctively, because after a couple years with a secret society, you know that a scream like that equals no good.

I watched as a fairy streamed out of Neverberry Thicket, sobbing hysterically. She landed in front of me, babbling like the brook near Silvermist’s Grotto.

“The stream! In the Thicket! The rain! And then it was gone…” She broke into sobs again.

“Whoa, slow down!” I said, patting her shoulder. I studied her profile. She was rather short for fairy standards, closer to five inches instead of five and a half. Because of this she also had smaller wings, which were tinted pink, signifying that she was a garden talent. She had long, dark curly hair, tanned skin and eyes the colour of rich soil, and wore a stunning pale pink dress with matching shoes. For a moment I envied the garden fairies. I knew that they weren’t all your typical shopaholic/stunning appearance like Rosetta (who was the mentor for all garden fairies), but I also knew that they could be if they wanted to, with an elegant grace that we water fairies could never master. However, that thought was obliterated when she had finished speaking again.

The fairy took a deep breath. “I was hanging around Neverberry Thicket, watching my pet ladybug fly around the stream – you know; the one they use for collecting dewdrops – when it started to rain.” She paused for a minute, and then continued.

“At first I thought it was normal rain, but then I noticed that everywhere it dropped, patches of earth and water would disappear.” She went on, her voice trembling slightly. “I called for Rosy, but she didn’t come.” It took me a moment to figure out Rosy was the ladybug. I kept listening, dreading what was to come.

“Then I saw her – a little red streak coming towards me. But as she flew, she got hit by a drop, and… and…” She burst into tears again. I hugged her, feeling awful inside. No one should experience that. Not now, not ever. Then that sorrow turned to fear, as I realized what this meant.

It had started. The end was closing in on us, and if we didn’t get in though the portal, we would be trapped.

So what do you think? This is just half of Part 1, and will need some editing.

The plot plays around with answering the following questions (and maybe others that I haven’t quite figured out yet):

1. What happened to all of us when PH disappeared?

2. Where did we go?

3. What happened to all the Famous Fairies, Ministers, the Never Council and the Queen?

4. What if all the talents turned against each other?

5. How did Tinkerbell really meet Peter Pan? (This one is a maybe)

Hopefully I should be able to answer all these in the story.

Now, this is where YOU come in. I’d like to be able to add other pixies and bloggers into the story. If you are interested, please send me an email at rosemorningmist@gmail.com. All you have to do is leave your name, talent, perhaps a picture of your fairy (so I know what they look like), and (if you have one) a link/word document to your short story/fan fiction. If it is based around PH closing, that’s great, but anything is fine really.

Pixies who email me will get a proper run-down of the plot, and a preview of each part before I publish it each time, so that I can get your approval that you don’t mind what I have written about your fairy – this way I can avoid offending you by accident.

So, how about it? Do you think you would enjoy the story if I kept posting it? Please leave a comment on what you think about this post.

Looks like my post has finally come to an end!

Seeing as I am also posting this on Minerva’s Blog, I better sign of as I usually do with my posts on there.

Hope you enjoyed reading this,

Sincerely, Rose
