What’s Up Minerva?

Yeah what is up?

I’ve basically disappeared off the face of the earth for who knows how many days. Don’t expect me to know what’s up.

Whoever said summer is the time for free time had definitely never met me. (By the way, I made that up so in a way, that’s a paradox…)

So what have I been up to for this past long while?

Well first off, I’ve been vacationing on the opposite side of the continent. That side is gorgeous. See if you can guess where. 🙂20150823_165920IMG_20150825_213545

Probably not.

I spent the time on the plane working on my stories. I have actually completed several chapters of various stories. However, I’m choosing not to release them just yet. I want to fine tune things to perfection ❤

I’ve taken a break of sorts from Her Majesty, the story I was originally working on.

Don’t panic, I’m still working on it – I just felt that there was no progress. So, I’m working on another story that you all wanted, Talented, and writing a bit of that before I head back.

I tend to want to write things in batches and release them gradually so that’s what I’m doing so there isn’t too much of a gap between chapters.

In the meantime, I’m finally going to write out a recap of my journey in Walt Disney World from like half a year ago.

Yeah… sorry ’bout that. I’m a little very behind.

Not sure if you’ve noticed, but I have unprivated my blog at long last. 🙂 It will just be way easier for everyone who wants to view it now and they don’t have to request access or any of that annoying stuff.

I just thought it was time. 🙂

intuos pen 2 gI’ve also been having some fun with my new drawing tablet, as my Google+ followers will already know. (uh, not so new now… I’ve been on it 24/7)

I’ve been working on some art… trying out a new drawing style… lots of exciting things happening, even though it takes forever.

Let’s just say some different things are coming to the Art Gallery when I complete them. I’m just testing out new territory and playing with different styles right now.

I shall shamelessly self-advertise in saying that I created an account on Deviantart at long last. Nothing there yet, but I will certainly let you know when something is. :p

In the meantime, I update my Art Gallery with the latest and greatest whenever possible. I’m actually hanging up 2 new pencil sketches right about…now. So you should totally check it out if you’ve got some time and whatnot.

Again, totally not advertising (jk, I so am), but you could literally just ignore above paragraph if you wanted. 🙂

School has just started for me, so that means I’ll probably be even more inactive then I already am. Sorry guys, but my main uploads nowadays will be stories of various types.

writing

Here are some that I’m working on:

Her Majesty – The one that you all already know about. It’s the story of Queen Clarion. I’ll be exploring some new things in this story and playing with the concepts and facts we already know about her.

Talented – This is the big one. This story is centered around Faith Eveningswirls, a fairy who I literally made up. It’s really about discovering her true talent and how she got there.

The Assistant – Chances are you’ve never heard of this one before, because this title has never been mentioned, no matter how far you look back in my works. It’s actually a revised version of the apocolypse/post-apocolypse.

And yes, I know you’re tired of reading these, guys, but bear with me. I have a pretty interesting theory about the why and the how, if you ask me. 😉

Neverwood – I’ve mentioned this mystery story a couple times, but haven’t really doven into the plotline. It’s still kind of an idea about two worlds tied together. I’m still working on the concepts, and it may never even come to light but I do like the idea.

Others? – I actually have an entire sheet covered with story ideas, not all related to the Hollow. They aren’t things I’ve really worked on at all, but the ideas are interesting and could flourish.

The bottom line is, I’m so sorry for not showing up for a couple weeks and just not posting, like ever.

I always start my posts, and then add to them sporadically. Then I finish them and then just never publish them. Yeah, that’s my posting ethic in a nutshell.

I’ll try to post more.

You should probably expect filler posts every once in a while, since the heavy content stuff takes too long.

I would like to try doing a post giving a few tips and tricks of the writing trade. Y’know, because I enjoy writing so much that I want to help other aspiring writers to flourish. It’s really more like bringing your imagination to life. I mean, I know everyone says that, but it’s so true. 🙂

But of course, that’s only if it sounds worth reading to you guys. 😉

Leave me a comment below telling me whether or not you’d like that? I’d love to hear your thoughts ♡

Until next time,

  3. Welcome back, Minerva! 😀

I practically didn’t use my dA account for the first six months since I made an account, but I’m pretty active now (in a sense that I go on there everyday).

The place where you want for a vacation looks beautiful, but I just can’t guess what place it is. >.<

I can't wait to read your stories! I love the way you deviate from the usual topics and your writing style is great. :3

I practically don’t use my dA account at all LOL. I’d love to post things in the future though. I’ll check out your artwork :3

I know right? It’s sooooo beautiful. This is in Banff, Alberta in Canada. 🙂

I’m so glad you’re excited for them, because I am too. 😉 I gotta keep the topics fresh and innovative right? So many have different takes on the similar, but it’s the unique that really sets things apart. 🙂

      1. Yes, I agree – reading about the same topic can be fun, but unique topics stand out from the rest and catch peoples attention 🙂

I guess you should start posting art there now, so that someone who visits your account is not greeted by a blank page. >.<
